In the first few episodes of Ugly Betty she wore some seriously ugly outfits. But lately she has been wearing some quite wearable outfit, things that possibley I would wear. For instance this outfit in the picture above, I absolutly adore it. The colour clash so perfectly. At the end of pretty much every episode they say you can check out all this stuff at yahoo.com.au. One of them was “Find out where Amanda gets her clothes from.” I personally would rather find out where Betty gets hers from.
I first spyed these boots from fellow blogger, Fashion Toast and completley fell inlove with them straight away. I found them for $50 on both Ebay and a normal online store but when I went into Sportsgirl not too long ago I found them again! At first I was really happy but then I looked at the price tag. They were over $100!! I was extremely annoyed. I’m disapointed with Sportsgirl now.

No, I’m not about to show you lots of pictures of sweaty people running around in the bush in their school uniforms with teachers yelling at them and while they carry all the clothes they had been wearing while they were freezing cold. Instead I’m going to show you what I did on the day I should have been one of these people.
Op-shop until you drop!
The first shop we went into was in Williams Town, an ideal place for someone looking for some treasures as there are many “well off” people there who put stuff in the op-shops but dont look there them selfs. I found myself a pair look-a-like converses for only $4. This lit up my day! I also got the brown shoes for the same price, I found them after digging through the mens shoes. The white pair however, I found in the last op-shop we went to. There was a HUGE pile of shoes for only $3 so I got these ones. The heel is perfect =]
Next up I got this bright blue turtle neck jumper/dress. In the same op-shop my mum bought a pair of long black boots for $4. I wasnt able to get a picture of them but they are awesome. Unfortunatly not leather though.
While I was going through the bags I almost completely missed this but when I looked again I found this bag and just fell inlove with it!! Althought it looks quite small it holds quite alot of stuff. It has many zips and pockets inside.
We followed my sisters book “The treasure hunters guide” which is full of op-shops in all of melbournes suburbs. While we were in spotswood I read a blurb about an op-shop that really got my attention…
This shop has a huge amazing collection of never worn old leather womens shoes from the 1940s onwards. Most are priced at $20. There is a whole room dedicated to shoes…
But, to my disapointment, although yes, there was a whole room dedicated to shoes it was so over crowded that it was too hard to find anything. They were also not with there pairs so even if I did find something good I couldnt find the other shoes. I was pretty annoyed. The whole shop was a bit scary. You walk into a TINY room that looks like it leads no where. I was looking around and mum just disapeared I looked around and saw a small door that lead into another small room. This one had lots of corridoors that lead into other rooms. I got lead into a medium size room that was jam-packed full of clothes. There was a huge row of knits that I had a very good look through.
I got this gorgeous purple cardigan, it said it was a large so I freaked out but then I put it on and it fit like a dream. I fell inlove with yet another thing.

Shoes:My gorgeous friend Shani gave these to me the other day at school. She text me the day before and asked what shoe size I was and then brought these to school, they have quite a big heal but there still comfy.

Wierd isnt it? Im currently doing an assignment for sculpture on this artist, Andy Goldsworthy.
At first when I saw this picture I thought it was pretty cool. Then to make it cooler, my teacher told me about the peice. Apparently this guy is known for doing scultures and things with nature. This picture is actually a sculpture AND a photo. You cant tell in this picture but in the one I had there was a man holding it up. It turns out that only half of the circle is actually there. The picture has been taken in some water so you it makes it a full circle. I find it extremely interesting. I should be making my own kind of thing like this soon. My teacher saw how interested I was in it and said I could do a special sculpture and do something like this. Sounds fun ey? Here is more of his work…

Today my sister, her boyfriend and I went into town for some lunch at a local cafe “Not Just Fudge.” It was a gorgeous day so there was a huge range of things I could have worn. However, I decided to go at the last second so threw on something random.
Hows that for a post? Two birds with one stone.
So my sister got the American Apparel dress.
I wore it a few days ago (and of corse forgot to take pictures) and I fell in love with it. I didnt think Id get much wear out of but now Im thinking I will, but I wont be able to always wear my sisters so I’m going to get my own. I just dont know what colour to get.
My main ones are…
Black
Evergreen
Purple
Raspberry
or grey.
I really like all these colours but I just need to pick the right one to make sure it will go with lots. I took into account that I wear alot of navy so most of these would look fine with navy. My only problem is the black one, because I wear black tights alot. Although I could wear colourfull tights.
I really like the purple one. I think thats the one Im leaning towards the most.
I’d like to know what you think. =]
